Inspired by the depth of color during a coastal walk, this piece seeks to translate what we often see as “brown” into an exaggeration of the nuances of that often over-looked color. As plants die, they transform from green into the briefly saturated colors you see here. Pinks, yellows, purples. It’s all there if you look close enough. And for those of you who live in a beach town, this piece celebrates that glorious month when the parking lots empty and the sea is ours again. September, sweet sweet September.
